Bill’s Mountain in Lake Lure, NC is one of these new developments of custom homes in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is not one of the many North Carolina retirement communities, rather a gated neighborhood that offers safety, great views and comfortable living.

Blue Heron Point – Blue Heron Point is a new gated community in the town and on Lake Lure, North Carolina, offering 43 home sites on 55 acres.  Secure and beautiful, Blue Heron Point could be a good retirement alternative to other North Carolina 55+ active adult communities.

Approximately 4,800 feet above sea level, this 1,300 acre planned community offers long-range views and an ideal climate. Although not restricted to 55+ active adults, Wolf Laurel could be a great North Carolina retirement community.

Reynolds Blue Ridge – Formerly known as Laurelmore developed by The Ginn Company, this community was acquired by Reynolds Signature Communities in December 2008. Reynolds Blue Ridge is a 6,200 acre golf and adventure community with panoramic views and dedicated open spaces.
