Though it is among the Top 25 largest cities in America, Charlotte is also widely known as one of the cleanest big cities in America. I can vouch for this…I lived there for a couple years. Plenty of opportunities to find a retirement community to enjoy, yet still have access to big city conveniences if needed.
Millbridge - Very close to Charlotte in historic Waxhaw this community will feature a residents clubhouse, Jr. Olympic and family pools, fitness facility, movie theater and much more.
Sun City Carolina Lakes - Actually located in South Carolina, but only a short drive from Charlotte in Fort Mill. Amenities will be on par with other Sun City communities around the country.
Ballentyne Country Club - Though not technically a “retirement community” this is a very nice community on the south side of Charlotte.
The Peninsula - Another country club community, this one is on Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte city limits.
