Trillium

Trillium is a community located in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountain area. Trillium offers a good mix of the mountain, lake, and golf course lifestyle baby boomers are looking for in a North Carolina retirement community.

Amenities

Trillium’s Morris Hatalsky designed golf course has everything you’d need. Great views including dramatic elevation changes keep the course interesting to golfers of all skill levels. There is also a full pro shop.

Trillium is on Lake Glenville, the highest lake in North Carolina. The lake has 26 miles of shoreline and offers plenty of activities from boating and fishing to water-skiing.  There are even boat rentals available if you do not have your own.

In addition to the golf course and the lake, Trillium also offers a clubhouse, tennis courts, spa and fitness center, hiking trails, and much more. Lets put it this way, it will be hard for you to ever get bored with all that Trillium has to offer.

Homes and Prices

You’ll feel right at home in the mountains in Trillium’s homes with their rustic architecture. There are three main areas within Trillium; Turkey Knob Hollow, Garden Gate, and Signal Ridge Lodge. Each section offers it own style of homes and price structure. If you are initially undecided as to what type or size home you want to buy, there are rentals available in Trillium. It might be smart to rent for a year until you have a better idea of what you ultimately want in a home.

Local Area

Trillium is in the Highlands and Cashiers area of North Carolina, near the Nantahala National Forest. This area of North Carolina is known for its cool climate where temperatures (even during the summer) rarely exceed 80 degrees. [Visit website]
